সিলেট মহানগরীর শাহপরাণ থানা এলাকায় এক তরুণীকে আটকে রেখে ভয়ভীতি প্রদর্শন ও ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে থানায় মামলা দায়ের করা হয়। ঘটনার পর থেকেই অভিযুক্তরা গা ঢাকা দিয়ে পলাতক রয়েছে। পুলিশ জানায়, আসামিদের শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে এবং গ্রেপ্তারে বিশেষ অভিযান চালানো হচ্ছে।
