কুষ্টিয়ার কুমারখালীতে ১০ বছর বয়সী শিশুকে নির্জন বাগানে ডেকে নিয়ে ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে কুমারখালী থানায় নিয়মিত মামলা দায়ের করা হয়। ঘটনার পর থেকেই অভিযুক্ত ব্যক্তি এলাকা ছেড়ে পালিয়ে যায়। পুলিশ একাধিক স্থানে অভিযান চালালেও অভিযুক্ত এখনও পুলিশের ধরাছোঁয়ার বাইরে।
