কুমিল্লা শহরের ব্যস্ততম শাসনগাছা বাসস্ট্যান্ডে বিভিন্ন রুটের বাস কাউন্টার থেকে প্রতিদিন জোরপূর্বক ২ হাজার টাকা করে চাঁদা আদায় করছিল একটি দল। চাঁদা না দিলে যাত্রীদের বাসে উঠতে বাধা দেওয়া হতো। বাস চালক ও শ্রমিকদের অভিযোগ পেয়ে কুমিল্লা কোতোয়ালি মডেল থানা পুলিশ বিশেষ অভিযান চালিয়ে চাঁদাবাজির নগদ অর্থ ও রশিদসহ একজনকে হাতেনাতে আটক করে।
