ভোলা সদর উপজেলার ইলিশা ঘাটে ঢাকা ও চাঁদপুরগামী লঞ্চে ইলিশ মাছের ককসিট বোঝাই করার সময় খাচি প্রতি ২০০ টাকা করে চাঁদা দাবি করে স্থানীয় একটি গ্রুপ। চাঁদা দিতে অস্বীকার করায় আড়ত কর্মচারীদের মারধর করা হয়। মাছ ব্যবসায়ীরা ইলিশা ঘাটে মাছ সরবরাহ বন্ধ রেখে প্রতিবাদ জানান। ভোলা সদর থানায় চাঁদাবাজির নিয়মিত মামলা রুজু করা হয়েছে।
