খুলনা মহানগরীর খালিশপুর শিল্পাঞ্চলে রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ত পাটকলের পাট পরিবহনকারী ঠিকাদারের কাছে ১০ লাখ টাকা চাঁদা দাবি করে স্থানীয় রাজনৈতিক আশ্রিত সন্ত্রাসী দল। চাঁদা দিতে অস্বীকৃতি জানানোয় ঠিকাদারের ম্যানেজারকে মারধর করা হয় এবং তিনটি ট্রাকের চাকা কেটে দেওয়া হয়। এ ঘটনায় খালিশপুর থানায় মামলা করা হলেও প্রধান আসামি এখনও পলাতক রয়েছে।
