রাজশাহী নগরের সাহেব বাজার জিরো পয়েন্ট ও আরডিএ মার্কেট সংলগ্ন ফুটপাতের দুই শতাধিক ক্ষুদ্র ব্যবসায়ীর কাছ থেকে প্রতিদিন ১৫০ টাকা করে চাঁদা আদায় করত স্থানীয় একটি সিন্ডিকেট। চাঁদা দিতে অস্বীকার করায় এক ফল বিক্রেতাকে মারধর করার ঘটনায় ব্যবসায়ীরা বাজার বন্ধ রেখে বিক্ষোভ করেন। পুলিশ তাৎক্ষণিক অভিযান চালিয়ে চাঁদা আদায়কারী দলের মূল সদস্যকে গ্রেপ্তার করে।
