বাউফল উপজেলার নদীপথে তরমুজ ও কৃষিপণ্য বহনকারী ট্রলারের গতিরোধ করে দেড় লাখ টাকা চাঁদা দাবি করে একটি চাঁদাবাজ দল। চাঁদা দিতে রাজি না হওয়ায় ট্রলারের মাঝি ও ব্যবসায়ীদের মারধর করে আটকে রাখা হয়। স্থানীয়দের সহায়তায় পুলিশ দ্রুত অভিযান চালিয়ে ট্রলারটি উদ্ধার করে এবং চাঁদা দাবির সাথে জড়িত ৩ জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে কারাগারে পাঠায়।
